Stapleton and Northfield. Urban trails connect the parks and residential areas to village-like shopping areas. In fact, 30% of the land in this idyllic suburban neighborhood is preserved for parks and open space, highlighted by Central Park, where dogs, joggers, cyclists, and roller bladers can be found on paths virtually any day of the week. Biking and hiking paths also connect the area to the 17,000-acre Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, where a plethora of wildlife roams the plains east of downtown. It’s not unusual to spot golden eagles soaring in the skies above. The neighborhood is also home to the newly christened Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, an 18,000-seat stadium surrounded by a fully lit 24-field professional soccer complex. It is considered the most state-of-the-art stadium and field complex in the world and is home to the Colorado Rapids. The pedestrian streets and fountains at The Shops at Northfield Stapleton offer a relaxed, outdoor shopping experience, with 18 movie theaters, sidewalk cafes, and more. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, Northfield Stapleton may be just what you’re looking for.

Special Events

Every Sunday from the middle of June to the middle of October, the Stapleton Farmer’s Market takes place in the 29th Avenue Town Center, offering fresh produce, flowers, and baked goods.
